Transcript:
Upload an unofficial transcript or grade report from each school where you have received a degree or taken music courses.
This can be a scan or screenshot of your grade report, or a full transcript. If you are recommended for admission by the School
of Music, the Graduate School will ask you to provide an official transcript in order to finalize your admission.
Curriculum Vitae:
Please limit your resume to 1-2 pages. We will not read more than 2 pages.
Personal Statement:
Clearly state your instrument and/or the degree you are seeking. Describe your educational and professional journey. Be sure to
include any relevant teaching experience and other skills that qualify you to serve as a Teaching Assistant in the School of Music.
Recommendation Letter:
Three letters of recommendation
Your recommenders will receive a link to complete their letters online, so be sure that you have entered the correct email
address and contact information for each recommender.
Writing Sample:
Submit 1-2 academic Writing Samples in your field of study. M.A. & Ph.D. candidates should submit substantial research paper(s).
Note: Applicants for the Master of Music (M.M.) degree do not need to submit a Writing Sample
