We are looking for talented doctoral student/postdoc to develop energy field based robotic instruments for autonomous manipulation and assembly of micro patterns and structures for future intelligent manufacturing. The research can be built upon the recent progress in acoustic manipulation at the group and/or other instruments/methods in the group or new developments. The candidate will work in a highly international, dynamic, and pioneering research group, including multidisciplinary collaboration with researchers/professors in different departments of Aalto University as well as in other universities and internationally.
Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation is a part of Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering. The position on autonomous robotic instrumentation is opened for Robotic Instruments group ( http://www.aalto.fi/department-of-electrical-engineering-and-automation/robotic-instruments ) at the department. The position is immediately available.
背景偏好:As a successful applicant, you should be highly motivated in experimental research and have a background in one or several of the following fields: mechatronics, applied physics, robotics and automation, software engineering, microsystems, microrobotics, or related fields. We expect the applicant is eager to work on both robotic hardware/mechatronics as well as automation and algorithms including machine learning. The applicant is expected to be innovative, thinking out-of-box, multi-disciplinary, and hands-on. Experiences in microfluidics, microfabrication, and computer science will also be appreciated.
