2017年教育学个人陈述六

　　申请专业：教育学

　　I was born and raised in Brunei Darussalam and have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of XXXX with a major in Islamic Studies and a Minor in Arabic. I am proud to have graduated with honors and I feel strongly that I am an excellent candidate to study towards a graduate degree at XXXX University. My first choice for graduate study is at XXXX University because of the alignment between the course offerings in its Master of Education program and my intellectual interests and long term professional goals. I have heard so many good things about the University of XXXX, what a beautiful place it is and how peacul; I know several Bruneians who study there.

　　Currently I&aposm working as a tutor at the University of XXXX in the Faculty of the Academy of XXXX. I am an avid fan of the search for long term balance between teaching, on the one hand, and doing professional research on the other. I am especially interested in doing graduate work in the area of Education because, in the faculty where I am currently working as a tutor, they are now introducing a new program called System of Education in XXXX, and I have been invited to take part. Thus, I have been given a scholarship by the Brunei government to pursue my MA degree. Once I have completed the MA degree, I will automatically become a lecturer in this program. For this reason, in order to fulfill this opportunity to improve the educational system in my country, I very much look forward to the advanced courses at XXXX University to prepare to become a first class, critical thinker in the field of education. I see XXXX University, first and foremost, as the best place to prepare me with the foundation that I will need to become someone capable of novel ideas, suggestions, and organizational inventions in education.

　　I am especially interested in e-learning. I wish to focus my studies at the thesis level on an adaptation of ICT to the organizational and material peculiarities of my country and the cultural dispositions of my people. I am currently providing tutorial assistance in Malay for students in a course on Islam and Monarchy. Upon the completion of a Master’s degree, I would be invited to teach the course “The System of Education in Brunei Darussalam.” I am very interested in learning and writing about the relationship between e-learning and the system of education in Brunei. I wish so much to attend XXXX University because I am firmly convinced that the British educational system is better than that of most other countries and I am very much in need of completing the Master’s degree in one year. I have visited Britain bore and I feel very comfortable there. While my native language is Malay, English is my second language and I am very comfortable studying and writing in English. In the future I would like to teach courses related to education in both languages.

　　The educational system in my country is in desperate need of improvement. I wish to help our educational institutions become more open to the people and provide greater chances for ordinary citizens. Additional courses need to be introduced as course offering here are very limited. Sadly, those who do not have the money to study overseas often fail to study at university at all. I look forward to building a website for my students where they can rer to lecture notes and participate in online discussions.

　　As an undergraduate student, I took part in observing learning programs in Arabic at a girls school. During my final year of study, I had the privilege of teaching Form 1 and 3 students in Arabic language and Islamic studies at a secondary school. I am pleased to be trilingual-- Malay, English and Arabic—and see it as a centrally important part of what I can become as an educator. During my undergraduate studies I participated in a jogathon and was involved in a cultural club and practices for our national day assembly. I have diverse interest and love learning from and participating in other cultures.

　　I feel that I have a strong academic background in education and that I am well prepared to begin graduate study in this department at XXXX University. I have labored mightily to cultivate my appreciation for teamwork; I am ambitious, personable, and easy to work with. I am also punctual and very hard working,self-motivated, and driven to follow tasks through to completion. I want to thank you for consideration of my application to your program.
